"It was the hardest experience of my life," Cohen said of being on the show.  "Gordon Ramsay expects only perfection.  To be on your A-game all the time when you're under that much pressure is not an easy task.  You're pushed to levels you don't know you're capable of," she said.
Bottom line: "I would do it again in a heartbeat."

Just making it this far, Cohen said, "is something to be proud of. We started with 18 chefs and now we're down to three. Just the fact that Gordon Ramsay sees that much potential in you is an accomplishment. You hope that other people watching see that as well."

Bergen Chefs Make it Through Week 1 Ringer

The first challenge required  the  chefs to make their signature dishes. Cohen took Ramsay straight on.  She made scallops, a favorite dish of Ramsay's and one that has proven in past seasons to be almost impossible to make to his exacting standards.

Cohen, a former cooking instructor from River Vale, pulled it off, rating a "cooked beautifully" and "tastes delicious" from Ramsay. She won a point in her head-to-head competition.

"I am in a competition and want to be the last person standing. I must have the self-discipline and control to say, 'This isn't good enough.' If I don't say it, he [Chef Ramsay] will." He yells when something goes wrong, Dana said. "If you don't take it personally, you can learn from it. Just being in his presence makes me want to be a better chef," she says.

Now that Hell's Kitchen is over for Cohen, she wants to focus her attention on teaching others how to cook.
